Credit card hacking is one of the most common types of scamming nowadays and pretty much anybody can be a victim.

It happened to BBC presented Stephen Nolan, whose card was hacked midway through a show. And we’re not talking about a cashback credit card or any other type of rewards card! The funny part is that he also shared the entire thing with the studio audience.

It happened all of a sudden!

On Wednesday night, during his Nolan Live show, on BBC Northern Ireland, he suddenly appeared to not be able to concentrate anymore, so he explained the reason quickly.

‘If you think I have been slightly distracted over the past couple of minutes, none of this is in the script,’ he told the audience.

The presenter said that he kept receiving messages from one of his credit cards – three messages, to be more specific – as he always keeps his mobile phone on during the show.

Stephen Nolan also have the audience details about the hack, revealing that he appeared to be staying in hotels in France, Japan and Russia. Most likely, he was the victim of a very skilled hacker or group of hackers!

‘Hurry up and get this show finished or I am going to be skint by the end of it,’ Nolan joked.

It’s not the first time it happens

On the other side, it’s worth mentioning that this wasn’t the first time he was the victim of credit card hackers. Back in 2014, the British presented was robbed of over £20,000, using a similar procedure. Still, this shouldn’t be such a big issues for him, as Nolan is one of the highest paid presenters in the country, earning over £400,000 per year.

Considering this, he should really consider paying more attention to the security of his credit cards and check twice before entering his details on any suspicious websites or locations. And this goes for anybody else reading this!
