Uber’s problems don’t seem close to reaching an end, since the ride-sharing company is still dealing with the internal investigation into sexual harassment. Also, according to Business Insider, citing a source close to the company, more than 20 employees were fired, as part of this.

The announcement was made official (just internally) this Tuesday, as over 12,000 employees were informed about the status of the series of scandals and controversies that shook up seriously one of the world’s most valuable tech companies.

Uber was late with taking action

The investigation is conducted by law firm Perkins Coie, which is currently looking into 215 claims of inappropriate incidents, including bullying and sexual harassment. As for Uber, the company – surprisingly – took no action in 100 instances, and a lot of cases are still under investigation.

Uber CEO Travis Kalanick launched the investigation, at an internal level, back in February, after Susan Fowler, a former employee, related on her personal blog about how she was sexually harassed. And like this wasn’t enough, she also mentioned gender bias experiences during her time at the company. Ever since, Uber started interviewing employees internally, but also contacted Perkins Coie investigate the workplace.

Until now, seven employees have already received written warnings regarding their workplace behavior, while 30 will receive special training, according to the above-mentioned source.

Executives keep leaving

This is pretty much the biggest scandal in which Uber was implied. Also, earlier this year, the company asked its senior vice president of engineering to resign, after he failed to disclose the sexual -harassment allegations made against him at his previous workplace. Amit Singhal denied everything, while Ed Baker, another high-positioned executive left the company under circumstances which weren’t clear enough.

And to make things worse, the company is also implied in a trade-theft lawsuit with Google’s self-driving car spin-off, Wayno, which accused them of stealing technology. Hopefully, everything will be fine for Uber in the end…
