Presidents aren’t really well-known for being very wealthy people, but some of the world’s leaders have enough money to last them for ten generations. Who are they? We were curious too, so we here’s a top with three of the richest world leaders ranked by wealth. Not surprising, they all come from countries where human rights aren’t mandatory.

1. Bhumibol Adulyadej – $30 billion

Bhumibol Adulyadej , the king of Thailand, born on 5 December 1927, was crowned on 9 June 1946 and is the world’s longest-serving current head of state and the longest-reigning monarch in Thai history. According to Forbes, his fortune stands at about $30 billion. He loves guns, jazz, and sailing and has a great reputation in his country, as many thais adore him.

2. Hassanal Bolkiah – $20 billion

Bhumibol Adulyadej

Hassanal Bolkiah is the sultan of Brunei. He’s 69 years old and Forbes estimated the Sultan’s total peak net worth at US$20 billion in 2008. But not all that wealth is personal. Most of it belongs to the state, but that doesn’t seem to mind Hassanal. He has a residence with 1.800 rooms, a private plane and a wonderful car collection, with four-wheels masterpieces like limited edition Lamborghinis, Rolls Royce and, of course, Bugatti. When you are one of the most richest world leaders out there, you can afford some fancy desires with ease, we’d say.

3. Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – $18 billion

Of course, we could’t have had our Top 3 Richest world leaders without a sheikh. Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is the king of Saudi Arabia, named after his half-brother died in 2012. He’s 79 years old and is very conservative regarding political reforms and social changes in his country. Not surprising, all his cash comes from oil.
