We bet that a lot of you added “seeing new countries” on their bucketlist for 2018, so we have a few great tips which can help you fulfill your dreams. Just like the best rewards cards or checking accounts, there are also some great options for regular travelers, which can help you save a lot and enjoy various bonuses.
Is there such thing as the perfect card for regular travelers?
After checking out a few offers, we managed to find something which can be easily called the best credit card for travelers.
To be more specific, we’re talking about the Capital One Venture Rewards credit card. For the first year, you don’t have to pay any fees, but after this period is over, you will be charged an annual fee of $95. And you need a pretty nice credit score in order to be approved for it.
Still, all the advantages it brings are definitely worth the annual fee. Here are a few of them:
-You can get 50,000 bonus miles if you manage to spend $3,000 in the first three months after opening your account.
– You earn double points on every purchase you make.
-There are no foreign transaction fees.
-Your miles will never expire and there is no limit to how many you can earn with the card.
-You can redeem your travel purchases from basically any airline, hotel or rental car using your miles.
-You have 240hour access to travel assistance services.
Still not happy with these options? In this case, we have something even better!
What can be called the best of the best credit card for travelers is the Chase Sapphire Reserve, a favorite among avid travelers ever since August 2016, when it was launched.
The card has a pretty high annual fee, of $450, but the benefits definitely justify the cost, according to CNBC Make it Money’s Kathleen Elkins.
“For starters, the Sapphire Reserve offers a $300 annual travel credit reimbursement each calendar year,” Elkins says. “That essentially bumps the annual fee down to $150 a year if I spend at least $300 on travel related expenses a year.”
