Like every year, Cupertino-based manufacturer Apple is expected to have a couple of very interesting releases. 2016 is no exception, as we’re looking forward to seeing the new, redesigned iPhone 7, the Apple Watch 2, and a new operating system, iOS 10.

These launches should create a significant boost, as consumer electronics giant had to deal with a 20 percent share price fall, in the second half of 2015, according to Value Walk.

Most important consumer electronics brand

Despite this, Apple had an overall good year, becoming the first corporation to reach a $700 billion market capitalization, a figure that has eventually dropper under $600 billion. The company ended the year with a share price in excess of $100.

Currently, they are the most significant consumer electronic company on the planet, as stated by the above-mentioned source, citing the Interbrand survey.

2015 was also a very good year in terms of sales for Apple. CEO Tim Cook claimed that the revenue grew to $234 billion, registering a 28 percent increase, compared with 2014.

Moving on, there’s no doubt that the iPhone plays an essential role in the financial success of the company and this is far from being a bad thing. After all, who doesn’t want to have a product in their portfolio, able to sell that good?

New revenue streams, a necessity?

On the other side, there’s always the big question: can Apple generate new revenue streams in 2016? We’d say yes, considering that the Apple Watch, iMacs and the App store also delivered positive results in the past year.

Finally, a very important part in the manufacturer’s success was China, a country in which they’re delivering more unites than the United States. The Asian country is also a very strong market for Apple Pay, another critical aspect, able to influence the 2016 results.

To sump up, we’re looking forward to the new products expected to launch this year, as new features and new designs should be introduced!
