There’s no doubt that the Samsung Galaxy S7 is one of the most expected smartphones of 2016 and currently, the tech community is craving for new details about the handset.

Could it be a dummy or just a processed image?

The latest rumors come from a case manufacturer called DHGate, which is already offering a set of low cost cases for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Plus. The image was spotted on a retailer’s website, where the case are available for as low as $2 and they seem to be wrapping some Samsung Galaxy S7 dummy units, according to Forbes.

On the other side, there’s also the possibility for the phones in the image to be just regular S6 models, with the cases photoshopped around them, and if you ask us, this is a more plausible option.

Nevertheless, building a case for an unreleased smartphone is a very risky move for every accessories manufacturer, since they don’t have details about the actual size of the smartphone. Still, it wouldn’t be the first time when this happens, as we’ve also started seeing cases this year, before the S6 was launched.

Same design, minor changes

But back to the Samsung Galaxy S7, there were a lot of source pointing to the fact that the South Korean manufacturer is planning to stick to the same design line, as the buyers seemed to love the look of the S6.

To be more specific, we’re talking about a thin metal edge, with buttons and ports around the sides and just a physical button on the front. Also, the Samsung Galaxy S7 could also keep the microUSB port, instead of featuring a USB Type-C one. Finally, the microSD card will be missing once again, users having to rely just on the internal memory.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 could make its debut in January or February 2016.
