If you’re a fan of Dunkin Donuts, we have some great news. According to Nation’s Restaurant News, the company is currently testing a mobile ordering and payment system, available for loyalty club members in Portland, Maine, while next week, the testing will begin in Dallas, Texas. The restaurant chain is looking forward to making the service nationwide available next year.

Multiple advantages for those who will use the Dunkin’ Donuts app

In order to try the system, members of the Dunkin Donuts Perks reward program from Portland need to download the On-the-Go Ordering app, currently available just for iOS, and link it with their loyalty cards for payment and, of course, accumulating rewards points.

Also, another advantage of the program is that once your order is ready, you don’t need to stay in line. A pick-up counter will be installed, ready to give you the donuts, or you can pick them from the drive thru.

Even more, the app allows customers to place orders with up to 24 hours in advance. As soon as they are at the restaurant, in order to pick it up, they need to confirm this through the app.

All your favorite donuts and more will soon be available for ordering through the app

For the moment, the Dunkin’ Donuts products available for ordering online are the ones available in menus nationwide. Still, this will be changed soon, as the menus will offer more and more products.

According to Nigel Travis, CEO and chairman of Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc., the rollout of mobile ordering and payment will definitely improve the restaurant chain’s convenience factor. Besides this, it will help Dunkin’Donuts compete with Starbacks, which has already implements a similar system, available at over 7500 domestic locations and it’s currently improving it, by testing a delivery feature directly from their app.
