Republican candidate Donald Trump has already made a name for himself after bashing, through not-so-friendly tweets, various personalities, from some of the biggest CEOs in the United States, to reporters of fellow Republican or Democractic candidates. His last ‘victim’ is Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon.

Another ‘classic’ Trump move

According to The Washington Post, Trump’s latest series of tweets was aimed at the newspaper itself, owned by Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.com, since 2013. Through an initial set of three posts, the Republican claimed that The Washington Post is currently losing a fortune, but the main reason why Bezos bought the newspaper was to “keep taxes down at his no profit company, Amazon”.

Even more, he added that “if Amazon ever had to pay fair taxes, its stock would crash and it would crumble like a paper bag. The Washington Post scam is saving it!”. After a few hours of silence, Trump was back with another tweet, saying the the newspaper “is going out of its way to tell failing candidates how to beat Donald Trump. The Post doesn’t get that I’m good at winning!”

Jeff Bezos sugessted sending Trump to space

Like expected, the newspaper made things clear, claiming that it’s not owned by Amazon, a retailer that actually pays a lot of taxes. Still, the best part was Jeff Bezos reaction, who, through a single tweet – his fourth, since he’s new to the social network – gave an excellent response.

“Finally trashed by @realDonaldTrump. Will still reserve him a seat on the Blue Origin rocket. #sendDonaldtospace,” he said.

Blue Origin, the rocket company owned by Jeff Bezos, managed to launch and land an intact rocket, in their mission to making space flight cheaper and more accessible to the average person.
